• Encourage children to be aware of the dangers of the sun, Percy Piglet resources and action cancer Mambo and Jazz.
• Discuss the need for hats, sun cream, and sunglasses. How can we avoid sunburn, what type of clothes we should wear to protect ourselves
• Build on the children's’ awareness of the importance of healthy eating, the need for fresh fruit and vegetables, milk and water.
• Encourage children to choose healthy options.- sorting activities
• Encourage children to understand the importance of exercise outside nursery school, walks, visits to the park, bikes with helmets, running around-high energy play.
• Lots of high energy opportunities in nursery-Jump, Jiggle and Jive ,sticky kids, safe high energy play outside.
• Discuss the health issues around smoking and the dangers-link with the Harold books.
