The boys and girls were mark making and drawing pictures of themselves. They were developing lots of skills whilst engaged in the activity. It is important to acknowledge the importance of the actual process and not just the product.
Fine motor skills include any specialised movement of the hands, wrist and fingers. Writing and drawing also:

- Helps Establish Concentration.
- Improves Hand-Eye Coordination.
- Increases Individual Confidence.
- Teaches Creative Problem Solving.
